October 22, Fineko/abc.az. Murat Dogan, Chairman of the TABA-AmCham Customs & Logistics Committee, said at an event dedicated to economic cooperation between Azerbaijan, Turkey and the U.S. that Azerbaijan is becoming an increasingly attractive destination for international business.

He stressed that the Middle Corridor should not be considered solely as a transit route. The main goals should be the transformation of Azerbaijan into a logistics center, development of warehouse infrastructure and value-added services.

Storage of goods on the territory of the country, their sorting and subsequent delivery to European markets can provide additional income to the economy.

Committee’s chair also stressed the importance of simplifying customs procedures between Azerbaijan and Turkey in order to increase the time and economic efficiency of international cargo transportation.
