October 20, Fineko/abc.az. President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree on the establishment of the Karabakh National Park.

According to the decree, the Karabakh National Park of the Republic of Azerbaijan is being created on the territory with total area of 88,418 hectares, indicated in the land management plan attached to the presidential decree.

44,773.79 hectares in Aghdere district, 24,597.80 hectares in Khojaly district, 13,514.98 hectares in Kalbajar district, 5,314.34 hectares in Shusha district and 217.09 hectares in Lachin district are allotted to create a national park from state-owned lands. These lands belong to the category of lands of specially protected territories.

The Cabinet of Ministers has been tasked to resolve issues arising from this decree.
