October 21, Fineko/abc.az. AzerGold CJSC has officially registered its first foreign subsidiary, "AzerGold Uzbekistan" LLC, in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The new entity will focus on geological exploration, mineral resource estimation under JORC standards, and evaluating future development feasibility for the "Akba" gold deposit in Uzbekistan's Qashqadaryo region. Upon obtaining the required license, an 18-month exploration program will commence, followed by a feasibility study and investment proposal.

Additionally, AzerGold CJSC is finalizing the establishment of a joint venture with JSC "Uzbekgeologorazvedka" and the Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Investment Company to conduct geological exploration across prospective areas located between Navoi and Nurata.
