October 27, Fineko/abc.az. Advisor to the Economy Minister Huseyn Huseynov said at the VII World Forum of Intercultural Dialogue that in the first 9 months of 2026, the non-oil/gas sector ensured close to 70% of country's economy.

Ministry’s representative stressed the expansion of investment opportunities and recalled that 23 corporate and investment documents for totally $10.8 billion were signed at the II Azerbaijan International Investment Forum held in Baku last month.

Huseynov underlined that in 2026-2028 Azerbaijan heads the Working Group on Small & Medium-sized Businesses of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization.

At that, local entrepreneurs are supported through the Organization of Turkic States and other regional platforms.

It was noted that along with strengthening small and medium-sized businesses, the country's main priorities are cross-border trade, digitalization, green transition and integration into international supply chains.
