October 22, Fineko/abc.az. In Azerbaijan, 453.7 million manats were saved on electronic public procurement in the first 8 months of this year.

Orkhan Mammadov, Deputy Chief of Staff of the State Agency for Antimonopoly Control & Consumer Market Supervision, said this at the conference "Digital Financial Ecosystem: A New Stage in Governance".

"The savings rate was 14.4%. These results indicate significant progress in the application of competitive mechanisms, price optimization and efficient use of public funds," Mammadov said.

He said that for Jan-Jul 2026, the number of e–purchases grew by 0.3% against Jan-Jul 2025, and their total volume increased by 12.5%.

According to Mammadov, such growth indicates an increase in the level of digitalization of public procurement, greater accessibility of procedures and an expansion of the competitive environment.
