September 21, Fineko/abc.az. Carpet and rug production in Azerbaijan reached 105,700 square meters during the first eight months of the year, according to the State Statistics Committee. This figure represents a massive 48-fold increase compared to the same period of the previous year.

The upward trend peaked notably in August, with 27,700 square meters of carpets produced in a single month—a 91-fold surge year-on-year. As of September 1, finished goods inventory in industrial warehouses stood at 5,300 square meters.

For context, total annual production reached 3,600 square meters in 2025, marking a 6% growth over 2024.
