September 30, Fineko/abc.az. On September 30, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Lord Vernon Coaker, Minister of State for Defence of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Expressing his gratitude for the reception, the guest noted that it was a great honor to visit our country and meet with the President of Azerbaijan.

Touching upon the significance of the "ADEX 2026" and "Securex Caspian" exhibitions held in Baku, Lord Vernon Coaker stated that his country is interested in participating in this event. He expressed his gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for the high-level organization of the exhibitions.

Highlighting that Azerbaijan is a very important friendly nation for the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the guest emphasized their interest in continuing this friendship.

Expressing his appreciation to Lord Vernon Coaker for attending the exhibitions, the Head of State noted that the ADEX exhibition has turned into an important international event for many years now.

President Ilham Aliyev emphasized that a new page has been turned in bilateral partnership between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom — entering into cooperation in the defense industry sector.

The Head of State mentioned that Azerbaijan has been investing in the defense industry for more than 20 years, producing products for both domestic consumption and export. President Ilham Aliyev touched upon prospective cooperation with leading companies regarding the supply of modern weapons and equipment to Azerbaijan, as well as the establishment of joint ventures in our country, emphasizing the importance of partnership with the United Kingdom in this context.
