October 23, Fineko/abc.az. Norway’s $2.3 trillion Sovereign Wealth Fund (NBIM) has addressed its involvement in Türkiye's ongoing stock market turmoil, describing itself as a victim of market manipulation.

Trond Grande, Deputy CEO of the fund, stated that NBIM is reviewing its equity portfolio and external asset managers in Türkiye following a steep decline in Borsa Istanbul, which has lost nearly a third of its value since September.

As of June 30, the fund held 20.4 billion Norwegian kroner ($2.2 billion) in Turkish equities. The review comes as Turkish authorities conduct a large-scale market manipulation probe into domestic funds artificially inflating stock prices.
