October 8, Fineko/abc.az. New service Stop-Credit aimed at ensuring the safety of citizens has started operating on Azerbaijan Credit Bureau’s portal Findoc.

The service has been developed in accordance with the new rules approved by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan in order to diminish risks in remote provision of financial services and consumer protection. It provides citizens with the opportunity to voluntarily set a restriction (self-lock) to apply for consumer loans in your name through digital channels or to increase existing credit limits.

Starting from October 1, credit institutions are required to check for such restrictions in the system before giving a loan remotely.

Citizens can activate or cancel this service at any time 24/7 through the Findoc portal or the mobile application. Currently, the Azerbaijan Credit Bureau has more than 225,000 users, and more than 300 organizations are connected to the system.

This step creates an effective protection mechanism against possible external interference and abuse when applying for loans online.
