October 8, Fineko/abc.az. Amazon is cutting fewer than 1,000 office staff, mainly in the Stores division overseeing company's main e-commerce site.

Reuters informs that the cuts will affect employees in the U.S., India, and the UK, including customer support and sales staff. This is a continuation of a large-scale reduction program, under which the company has already cut about 30,000 jobs since last year.

The cuts followed the Prime Big Deal Days sale on October 6-7.
