October 22, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Sept 2026, 1,831,800 foreigners and stateless persons from 191 countries visited Azerbaijan (6% less versus the 2025 same term, the State Statistics Committee informs, referring to the State Guard Service.

In overall structure of arrivals, 27.1% were citizens of Russia, 19.4% - Turkey, 7.7% - Iran, 4.9% - Georgia, 4.5% - Kazakhstan, 3.7% - Israel, 3.5% - Pakistan, 3.1% - Uzbekistan, 2.8% - China, 2.6% - India and 2.4% - Saudi Arabia.

In addition, 1.6% of the arrivals were citizens of Ukraine, 1.3% from Turkmenistan, 1.1% each from Germany and Great Britain, and 1% from Belarus. Citizens of other countries and stateless persons made up 12.2%.

66.8% of the arrivals were men and 33.2% - women.

The majority of visitors (73.5%) arrived by air. Another 25.2% used rail and road transport and 1.3% used sea transport.

Over Jan-Sept 2026, the number of arrivals from the EU grew by 6.1% against the 2025 same period), reaching 94,200 people. The number of visitors from the CIS countries observed growth by 4.3%, up to 699,000 people.

At that, the number of arrivals from the Persian Gulf countries declined by 32%, to 218,300 people. The flow of visitors from other countries fell by 5.5% to 820,300 people.
