October 12, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Sept 2026, authorized banks refunded VAT for 157.19 million manats to consumers for goods bought from persons engaged in retail trade and catering activities in the country (with the exception of oil and gas products, automobiles, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products), as well as for visits to theatrical productions, film screenings, museums and concerts of symphony orchestras, services of medical institutions and individuals, those engaged in private medical practice, as well as overnight and hotel accommodation services located in the territories liberated from occupation.

The State Tax Service informs that in addition, the amount of VAT refunded from the State Budget for goods purchased by foreign citizens in the country for personal consumption within the Tax Free program amounted to 7.319 million manats.
