October 12, Fineko/abc.az. Czech Republic's direct investments in Azerbaijan have reached $74 million, Ministry of Economy’s representative Yusif Abdullayev stated at the Azerbaijani-Czech Business Forum.

According to Abdullayev, investment cooperation is developing in both directions: "From 1995 to the end of the 1st half of 2026, Czech Republic’s direct investments in Azerbaijan reached approx. $74 million. Nearly $70 million of this was allocated to the non-oil/gas sector, which is very important for us. During the same period, Azerbaijan's direct investments in the Czech Republic also totaled approx. $70 million."

Abdullayev noted that currently 34 Czech companies are operating in Azerbaijan in various sectors, including agriculture, industry, transport, construction, trade and services: "Transport and logistics also open up good prospects for future cooperation. In 2025, the transit traffic between our countries reached 32,000 tons. A rise of 47% was recorded in this area, where the East-West and North-West corridors play an important role."
