October 1, Fineko/abc.az. Raiffeisen Bank (Austria) considers Kazakhstan and Central Asia as a new market for growth, so it wants to buy assets here, Bloomberg writes.

Raiffeisen Bank expects to receive $3.6 billion from Rasperia Trading, which was previously owned by Russian billionaire Oleg Deripaska. The bank is trying to get this money through the courts.

The dispute between Raiffeisen and Rasperia arose due to a failed deal in which the Russian subsidiary Raiffeisen wanted to buy a stake in Austrian construction concern Strabag from Deripaska. Raiffeisen is seeking compensation for losses due to the frozen assets of Rasperia in Austria.
