October 16, Fineko/abc.az. Volvo Cars has expanded its nearly decade-long partnership with Nvidia to elevate its autonomous driving capabilities to the next level. Under the new agreement, future Volvo vehicles will integrate Nvidia’s hardware and software solutions to enable hands-free driving on both city streets and highways.

As part of the expanded collaboration, Volvo will combine its vehicle safety expertise with Nvidia’s Hyperion sensor and compute architecture, the Alpamayo driving software stack, and the Halos safety evaluation layer.

According to Ali Kani, Vice President of Automotive at Nvidia, running AI-reasoning models alongside classic perception software simultaneously will deliver a significantly safer autonomous driving product.
