October 6, Fineko/abc.az. New projects with bp will accelerate Azerbaijan's energy transition.

Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov made the above-said statement at the 8th meeting of the Azerbaijan-UK Intergovernmental Commission on Trade & Economic Cooperation.

"Our cooperation with bp is developing through new projects. The start of associated gas production at Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli, the Shah Deniz compressor project, the Shafag, Asiman, Karabakh and Ashrafi-Dan Ulduzu-Ai Para projects, as well as our joint activities in Uzbekistan demonstrate the long-term nature of this partnership. At the same time, our cooperation covers the fields of "green energy" and decarbonization. The Shafag solar power plant to be commissioned next year and decarbonization of the Sangachal terminal with the use of clean energy represent a model for the global energy transition," he said.
